January tends to be a time of research and development for me. I’ve finished all of the custom orders that come around the holiday season, and I can spend some time thinking about what new art dolls I want to bring to life.
It seems this holiday season is dinosaur season, because I’ve had quite a few custom commissions for them. I’m thrilled to see people so excited for my little prehistoric murderbirds. I always enjoy custom color commissions because my customers almost always come up with such interesting color combinations or patterns. They’re a lot of fun. So here are some photos of the fluffy theropod babies I got to make for the 2018 holiday season.
Baby Dragons are some of the first creatures I sketched out when I was planning what I wanted to offer in my shop. Whiew! It’s been a crazy time preparing for Anime Boston 2018 and then navigating the inevitable chaos that is selling in an Artist Alley, but it was a whole lot of fun. I got to meet and chat with some really fantastic artists this year, as well as say hello to some old friends. And the folks who visited my booth were awesome! I’m so grateful to have the chance to meet so many wonderful people.
